Environmental bits and pieces
Environmental awareness at LQF is one of the ways we're trying to do our little bit for the surrounding environment. To make a difference we:
- Reduce our energy consumption
- Use environmentally friendly & biodegradable products
- Ensure all room amenities are animal friendly
- Conserve water
- Recycling as much as possible
- Engineer our practices to ensure that they are sustainable
- Support disaster management initiatives
Community Upliftment
- Staff volunteer for charities and schools.
- We donates as much as possible to charities and schools
- We support as many local business initiatives as possible by keeping it local
- We support The Kusasa Project www.thekusasaproject.org
Education
- At LQF we believe that education is a key component of successful individuals.
- Every year we take in 6 to 8 trainees from the local community and enrol them in our 3 year in house course.
Fund Raising
LQF helps raise funds for the local community through sponsorships and donations. To date funds totalling over 6 million rand have been raised. This money has funded the following:
- Building of crèches
- Providing teachers for schools
- Funding of bursaries
- Funding of soccer tournaments
- Funding of school equipment
