This wonderful foodie package includes: 2 nights in Delicious – “our bite size rooms”
Durban, a City where three cultures emanated side-by-side over the last 50 years. The Zulus in beaded headdresses, Indians in iridescent saris and the Brits in starched safari outfits.
The true flavorous that have emerged from Durban are the amazing spices and sensuous curries.
Join Vanie Padayachee, our Spice Guru, on a journey of tempering and blending spices as well as discovering her family recipes. Born and raised in Durban, her insatiable interest in food started whilst watching her parents, both great cooks, preparing exotic Indian dishes for family gatherings. Her cuisine is strongly influenced by the rich diversity of cultures found in SA. Using local and seasonal produce you and Vanie will be grinding, blending, chopping and cutting spices to stir up a colourful and fragrant Durban Curry.
Join one of Tina Jewells ever favourite bread making classes.
This class is all hands on (with a bit of guidance) you will get to make your own dough, while twisting and shaping your bread there will be a lot of laughter and of course some serious moments too.
While your breads are baking you get to quench your thirst with the delightful Moreson team. They will take you through a tasting of their award winning wines. By now you have worked up an appetite and get to enjoy a lunch served with some of your very own baked breads.
The day can only be completed once you have let your overworked hands relax in the care of our beauty therapist. Sit back with a glass of bubbly and let her soothe away the “kneading” aches with a gentle hand massage.
