New Rooms
Le Quartier Français now offers guests three double volume Grande Rooms and two Petite Garden Suites in addition to the existing Auberge Rooms, the Auberge Suites and Four Quarter Suites.
The Grande Rooms are larger and more sumptuous than the charming Auberge Rooms. Oversized chairs, exquisite fabrics and a fabulous bathroom create a decadent atmosphere.
The Petite Garden Suites look out onto their own gently crafted secret corner garden. Their large sliding glass doors spill open onto a private patio creating the perfect location for breakfasts and afternoon drinks.
Both the Grande Rooms and Petite Garden Suites come complete with all the luxury amenities associated with a stay at Le Quartier Français.

New Look Tasting Room
The Tasting Room, our flagship restaurant and one of the top 50 restaurants in the world, now offers diners two uniquely created tasting menus; an eight course - expertly paired with local wines - and a five course choice menu.
The décor has been revised and was designed to function as a platform for Margot Janse's acclaimed cuisine. Conceptualised and realised by Herbert Janse, well-known Dutch set designer (and Margot's brother), the stage aims to amplify the essence of what makes Margot's food so exceptional.
Art - from the owner's private collection - by revered South African artist, Maud Sumner, is on display. Each piece is exquisite and was hand-selected to play a specific role in The Tasting Room, adding unforgettable depth to the atmosphere.

Mrs NDABA
3 years ago Mrs Ndaba, a wonderful and courageous 68-year-old woman, began a crèche in her little pink shack in Langrug (our local informal settlement). The need for good care, in the area, was so great that she soon had 67 toddlers - aged 2 to 6 - to care for. With absolutely no funding Mrs Ndaba has taken it upon herself to support, teach, care and love these young children.
At Le Quartier Français we're big fans of Mrs Ndaba's cause. So much so that we've designed, with the help of a dietician, a highly nutritious muffin recipe for the crèche. These muffins are crammed full of all the daily goodness children require.
We presently bake and deliver these muffins every Friday. If you're staying with us, or are in the area on a Friday, why not join in? Help us bake and deliver muffins and meet the amazing Mrs Ndaba and her toddlers.

Neil's Jewells

Neil Jewell's cookbook, aptly named Neil's Jewells, is beautiful inspiration for anyone passionate about food. It is exquisitely illustrated - by esteemed local talent Frans Groenewald - and is nothing short of delectable. Neil's Jewells is the perfect gift for yourself or a culinary loving friend.

The Wine Frontier

Môreson Farm has recently launched their Miss Molly range of wines (named for their beloved and larger than life Weimaraner).
The range consists of two easy drinking white wines Hoity Toity Chenin Blanc and Kitchen Thief Sauvignon Blanc and one delicious red wine, In My Bed Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot. All these wines capture the fun, and good-natured naughtiness, that Môreson believe makes their Miss Molly so incredibly easy to love.
