Two years ago Le Quartier Français designed, with the help of a dietician, a highly nutritious muffin recipe for a small local crèche. These muffins were crammed full of all the daily nutritional requirements growing children needed. We then went on to bake and deliver these muffins, with the help of our guests, every single Friday.
Over the course of the last two years this concept proved so popular that, through the generous donations of our guests and other friends of Le Quartier Français, we were able to supply healthy meals to over 50 children in two different preschools five days a week.
From January 2012 - thanks to the money raised at one unique dinner organized by some of our special Dutch Isabelo supporters in Holland - we will be able to feed 100 pre-school children five days a week. In addition Isabelo will have the opportunity to support the local Breakfast Club and, in doing so, help supply 300 000 breakfasts to Franschhoek school children in 2012.
Over the past two years the Isabelo: Sharing is Caring project has proven to be awe-inspiring. It has surpassed any of our wildest expectations and – with your continued support – we have no doubt that it will continue to change the lives of more children than we ever imagined possible.
